I performed as Peter Pan in Peter Pan in 2013 at Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia. The show was directed by Charles Reese and the technical director was Rebecca McCoy-Reese. Performing as Peter Pan was a dream come true and a gift from my professors for my senior year. While we didn’t have a fly system, I would love to perform and fly as Peter Pan again one day! Jennifer Bohannan, who played Hook and Mrs. Darling, was the fight choreographer for this show. It was so fun working with her one on one with our swords to make our fight as realistic as possible. I had to practice in my binding and costume for most of the fight rehearsals and I worked alongside her to help block the fight. I learned so much from her about fight choreography. I will never forget the anticipation of the scene where I had to break the fourth wall and get an audience full of children to clap to save Tinker Bell (the anticipation was helpful, but they always clapped)!
